Sultan bin Hamed Al Burtmani

Board Chairman

With a wealth of experience in Asset management, Business development, due diligence and financing, Sultan Al-Burtmani is directly involved in achieving Oman Oil Company’s (OOC) goals to pursue investment opportunities in the Energy Infrastructure sector locally and internationally. He was appointed as the Acting Executive Managing Director of Oman Gas Company – a subsidiary of Oman Oil Company. Sultan led a new petchem project in OQ’s before he was appointed as Vice President for Business Development for the Commercial and Downstream leading strategic projects, project delivery, and M&A opportunities. During his work, Sultan added value in developing asset management and portfolio management practices within OOC and OQ. He attracted sizeable investments and investors for OQ. Sultan led different project development in Oman and closed different Merger & Acquisition (M&E) transactions internationally. Additionally, Sultan is currently leading the conceptualization and establishment of the Integrated Gas Company, a venture aimed at bolstering the Sultanate's fiscal strength. With his expertise at the helm, this innovative company is set to revolutionize the gas sector, prioritizing efficiency while mitigating potential risks.

Ahmed Tufail Al RahmanI

Deputy Chairman

Ahmed Tufail Al RahmanI holds a FCCA – Fellow Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) (2002) , CGMA – Global Chartered Management Accountant (US) (2013), CPA – US Certified Public Accountant (USA) (2007) CIMA, Associate Chartered Management Accountant (UK) (2013), CAIA – Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (USA) (2011) and Chartered Financial Analyst- Level III Candidate (USA).

Omar Bahram

Board Member

Omar Bahram is the CEO at UzOman Investment Company, a Joint Venture Company majority owned by Oman Investment Authority, managing OIA’s Central Asia portfolio. Omar brings forward a strong track record in M&A, where he was responsible for multiple deal negotiations and closure, in addition to a strong legal background, being responsible for various legislative mandates at OIA, specifically in the water and wastewater sector. Prior to joining OIA, Mr. Bahram held previous positions in the downstream of Oil & Gas business), developing extensive knowledge in project execution of various metals, minerals and utilities greenfield projects. Omar Bahram holds an LLB in law and a postgraduate diploma in Legal Practice.

Hamed Al Wahibi

Board Member

Hamed brings over two decades of extensive experience in both the private sector and state-owned enterprises. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Musandam Global Investment Co. SAOC, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership and strategic acumen throughout his career. Prior to his current role, Hamed served as the acting Chief Executive Officer of Majis Industrial Services, a wholly owned company of OQ. His professional journey began in 2001 at PDO, followed by roles at OXY and various positions within the private sector. Hamed has also contributed his expertise to state-owned entities such as Takamul Investment, Marafiq, and OQ Group. Hamed's educational background is marked by academic excellence, holding an MBA from Strathclyde University, a PGD in logistics and supply chain management from Edinburgh University, and a BSc in Management from Sultan Qaboos University.

Yusra Al Busaidi

Board Member

Mrs. Yusra Al Busaidi holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Sultan Qaboos University with 18 years of experience in different areas, mainly in finance, procurement, planning, budgeting, strategy, performance, asset management, and finance shared services. Mrs. Yusra Al Busaidi is the Head of Financial Control & Tax at OQ Exploration and Production, part of OQ Group, an integrated energy company specializing in Upstream business excellence. Prior to her role at OQ Exploration and Production, she worked as a Head of Report to Record in OQ integrated Group where she managed financial procedures and reporting within accepted accounting reporting standards. Previously, she worked for Takatuf Oman as Director of Finance and corporate services and Accounts Assistance manager at Oman Shipping Company. Mrs. Yusra Al Busaidi was previously a member of the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee at Sohar Aluminum, and a member of the Operation Committee at Takatuf Petrofac Oman and Capability Development Oman (INSTOG).
