ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Projects planning in coordination with other Discipline Engineers in the department and other departments to ensure that all safety, Technical & Operational requirements are met and Complete the project in time.
  • Input into Basis of Designs, Design Scopes and Feasibility Studies as required. Assist in the preparation of engineering project proposals.
  • Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
  • Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to MISC as well as responsible for personal safety, safe working practices for the infrastructure development
  • Managing technical bid clarification & evaluation accordance to tender document specification and received technical & financial bids from bidders.
  • Represent Majis Company and the project in external meetings. Ensure completion of water utility projects as per the specified schedule. Regular site inspections to ensure the project is developing as per the original project plan
  • Coordinating with consultant / contractor for project plan, drawing review having officially approved documents. Responsibility also includes E&I progress reporting, meeting the project documentation requirement, giving support to procurement, inspection, and timely completion of the project.
  • Assigned to review contractor technical documentation / method statement/ material approval. Assigned to witnessing FAT/SAT test of E& I System.
  • Verifying the contractor installation is in accordance with the approved method statement, international standard, agreement specification, and drawings.
  • Responsible to project closure, final financial settlement of consultant and contractor.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • For Omani Candidates Only
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • PMP certified.
  • 6 to 8 years of Electrical and instrumentation experience with some specialty in water Projects.
  • Minimum 2 years Project Management
  • Experience with water related sensors and water flow meters.

PROJECT ENGINEER (Civil)

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Input into Basis of Designs, Design Scopes and Feasibility Studies as required. Assist in the preparation of engineering project proposals.
  • Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to MISC as well as responsible for personal safety, safe working practices for the infrastructure development
  • Managing in technical bid preparation & evaluation accordance with standard of Omani law, International standard, and evaluation of technical & financial bids from bidders.
  • Perform civil engineering duties in planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures, and water projects facilities
  • Ensure projects are implemented as per P&P manual.
  • Represent the client and the project in external meetings.
  • Coordinating with consultant / contractor for project plan, drawing review having officially approved documents. Responsibility also includes E&I progress reporting, meeting the project documentation requirement, and timely completion of the project.
  • Coordination with other Discipline Engineers, departments, Contractors, consultants, and Construction supervisor to ensure that all safety, contractual, Technical & Operational requirements are met.
  • Verifying the contractor installation is in accordance with the approved design, method statement, international standard, specification, and drawings.
  • Verifying contractor claims and project scope as per contract and agreement.
  • Providing technical assistance in check listing and corrective action in field construction & monitoring the work progress in continuing basis as well as to witnessing FAT/SAT test of E& I System.
  • Engage with operations department while designing, executing and at the close of the project for a smooth handover to operations upon completion of project.
  • Responsible to project closure, final financial settlement of consultant and contractor.
  • Manage HSE risks in accordance with the HSSE manual.
  • Assessing the environmental impact and risks connected to projects

 

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • For Omani Candidates Only
  • Degree in Civil Engineering Discipline
  • Project Management Qualification will be preferred
  • 5 to 6 years of Project working experience; include consultancy.
  • Minimum 2 years Project Management

ORPPORATE COMMERCIAL EXECUTIVE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of Supply chain and Logistics Arrangements for operation & Maintenance spare parts and equipment procurements from the vendors.
  • Support Commercial Manager on activities follow up with contracts managements, tendering, procurements, and In-country value Team.
  • With support from Tendering and procurements Executive and contracts engineer, arranging for Gate Pass Coordination with Admin. Dept. (Site Visit, Tender Submission, Negotiation meeting & Kick off meeting or any other meeting).
  • Arrangement and Preparation of Minutes of department meeting as on when required and regular follow up with team members for closing all open items as specified in the minutes – Acts as a secretary to commercial manager.
  • Support Commercial Manager Activities related to new developed or matured business in respect of engaging with the internal stakeholders (customer services Dept., business developer and finance dept. along with legal and commercial external consultants for the sake of developing the tender documents and sales agreements with the customers.
  • Support commercial manager on handling and making a resolution process on any legal, technical and commercial arbitration, determination with customers and vendors and come up with final resolution.
  • Compiling department quarterly reporting from internal department’s staff.
  • With support from Tendering and procurements Executive and contracts engineer, ensure to maintain the Vendors Management System to ensure an efficient competition & encouraging the local SMEs to participate & get register with Majis.
  • Responsible for the development, management and maintenance of processes, policies and procedures related to ICV.
  • Responsible for playing the key role in policy issues related to providing opportunities to local in areas of employment and contracts of products and services and to meet the Client ICV regulations.
  • Closely to work with the Procurement / Supply Chain Management team to build local suppliers in order to enforce the ICV regulations.
  • Preparing and Submitting reports required by communication team; quarterly reports and other ad-hoc reports as required.
  • Maintain the filling system (Hard/Soft) of the department documents.

 

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • For Omani Candidates Only
  • Bachelor Degree in Business Operation and Engineering or Finance and Accounting.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 Years’ Experience in Commercial and Technical aspects and mainly in industrial water business is an advantage.
